About the publication
A clearer layer between the listing and the install.
Extension Reviewer is an editorial guide to the Chrome extensions students, researchers, developers, and everyday readers actually install. We translate public store records, product documentation, pricing, and privacy disclosures into specific recommendations.
Who runs this site
Extension Reviewer is written and published under the byline Extension Reviewer Editorial Team.
Extension Reviewer has no affiliation with any extension developer covered on this site. Products made, funded, or sold by anyone involved in running this site are excluded from coverage. Coverage decisions and verdicts follow the public methodology, and the same record fields and source requirements apply to every extension.
Why the site exists
Chrome Web Store listings are useful but not designed to compare a category. Extension Reviewer organizes those facts around decisions: who a tool is for, what it costs, what its public adoption signals show, what access it may need, and when another product is better.
Review standards
We publish a plain-English verdict, the four public-record signals behind it, feature breakdowns, pricing details, and verified store facts. We do not publish numeric editorial scores or present AI output as a substitute for learning. Read how we rate, the methodology, and our editorial policy for the full standard.
