What Keeper Password Manager is
The extension generates passwords and passphrases, fills logins, passkeys, TOTP codes, payment cards, and addresses, and syncs a vault Keeper says is encrypted on your device before it reaches its servers. The listing also describes BreachWatch dark web monitoring and One-Time Share links for sending a record to someone without Keeper.

Is Keeper Password Manager safe to use?
Keeper is a safe, well-documented choice: the developer describes device-side encryption that keeps records unreadable to Keeper, its listing cites SOC 2, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP High certifications, and it discloses only personally identifiable information. Its main drawback for Chrome users is cost, not safety.
Page access Broad
Requests page-content access across sites. Broad access is not itself a red flag — the question is whether the job justifies the reach, and whether the publisher's record earns it.
Filling logins, passkeys, TOTP codes, cards, and addresses requires reading and writing form fields on the sites you visit, so the extension asks for broad site access. Chrome's on-click site-access setting limits that to moments you invoke Keeper, at the cost of automatic fill suggestions.
Store-disclosed data
- Personally identifiable information
The listing discloses only one category, personally identifiable information, the narrowest disclosure among the password managers in this group. Keeper says each record is encrypted on your device before it reaches its servers and is unreadable to Keeper; account and billing details sit with Keeper under its privacy policy.
Is the Keeper Chrome extension free?
Not after the trial. Keeper's comparison page says Keeper Free is limited to one mobile device and excludes browser extension access. A 30-day Keeper Unlimited trial covers the extension, then a paid Personal or Family plan is needed.
What data does Keeper's Chrome listing disclose?
Only personally identifiable information. Keeper says vault records are encrypted on your device before upload, so the passwords themselves are not readable by the company, which fits that narrow disclosure.
